Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Bricklayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in laying bricks with precision and adhering to the highest safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Interpretation of Plans:
- Read and analyze construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand the layout, dimensions, and design requirements of each project.
- Bricklaying:
- Use hand tools, such as trowels and levels, to spread mortar and lay bricks accurately and orderly.
- Align, level, and secure bricks using bonding, jointing, and pointing techniques.
- Mortar Preparation:
- Mix mortar manually or with mechanical mixers to ensure the right consistency for bricklaying.
- Brick Shaping:
- Shape and trim bricks using hammers, chisels, and power tools for custom fits and finishes.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure workplace safety.
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Identify damaged masonry, remove deteriorated bricks, and restore structural integrity through repairs and replacements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer or in a similar masonry role.
- Proficiency in using bricklaying tools and techniques.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in construction.
